Sustainability meets innovation: our new battery-powered agitator cooker was used as a prototype in track maintenance last year. Rheinbahn is thus replacing a diesel-powered predecessor model - and sending a strong signal in favour of climate-friendly and modern maintenance.
From the idea to deployment - hand in hand with Rheinbahn
The direct feedback from Rheinbahn employees was incorporated into the further development - this enabled us to optimise our agitator cooker to meet the daily requirements of road and track construction.
The advantages for Rheinbahn at a glance:
- Emission-free operation: No CO₂ or fine dust emissions thanks to powerful electric drive
- Quiet operation: Significantly reduced noise pollution - ideal for urban areas and night work
- High practicality: Bitumen heating up to 200 °C for filling joints and cracks
- Future-oriented technology: Drive via long-life lithium batteries, robust and low-maintenance
A benefit for the environment and everyday working life
The feedback from Rheinbahn colleagues on site has been consistently positive: the new mixer cooker not only makes work easier, but also makes a noticeable contribution to improving working conditions. Less noise, no exhaust fumes - this means not only environmental friendliness, but also relief for employees and neighbours.
A strong project - a strong partnership
We are proud of this joint project with Rheinbahn. It is an impressive demonstration of how modern technology and partnership-based cooperation can make sustainable changes possible. The new electric cooker is a further step towards emission-free work in track maintenance and road construction - and an example of how practicality, expertise and environmental awareness can work together successfully.
It is precisely projects like this that inspire us: as a specialised machine factory, we are always open to individual solutions and innovative developments.
The Rheinbahn article will be published in the 3rd issue of the ‘Fahrtwind’ magazine in the ‘Im Blickpunkt’ section.
